Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sodlcs Health (registered for text messaging as the brand "Sodlcs Health Sms") collects, uses, and protects information, including information related to our text messaging (SMS) program.
Who we are
Sodlcs Health provides practice management software to dental practices. Dental practices use Sodlcs Health to manage patient records and appointments and to communicate with their own patients, including by text message. When you receive a text message through Sodlcs Health, it is sent on behalf of the dental practice where you are a patient.
Information we collect
For our text messaging program, we collect and process:
- Your mobile phone number, provided to your dental practice at intake
- Your consent to receive text messages, including the date it was recorded
- The content of text messages sent to you and replies you send back
- Message delivery status (for example, whether a message was delivered)
- Opt-out and opt-in requests (for example, replying STOP or START)
Dental practices using Sodlcs Health may also store other information about their patients, such as contact details and appointment information, in order to provide care and run their practice.
How we use information
- To deliver text messages your dental practice sends you, such as appointment-related messages
- To deliver your replies to your dental practice's staff
- To honor your requests to stop or resume receiving text messages
- To keep records of consent and message delivery, and to maintain the security and reliability of our service
- To comply with legal obligations
How information is shared
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- With the dental practice where you are a patient, which sends and receives the messages
- With service providers that deliver text messages on our behalf, such as our messaging provider and wireless carriers, solely to deliver messages
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or others
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption of message content when stored, access controls, and audit logging of access to patient information.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain required records, and meet legal obligations. Opt-out requests are retained so that we continue to honor them.
Your choices
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also ask your dental practice to update or remove your phone number or consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
